CG15-8L12 is an IP67 industrial safety light curtain sensor designed for high speed doors, industrial doors, garage doors, cold storage doors, sectional doors and automatic door systems. It uses 8 infrared beams to create a reliable safety detection area, helping prevent pinching, collision and accidental door closing.

This model supports cross-blanking protection, making it suitable for industrial door applications where fixed lower door structures or special installation conditions may affect normal detection. When an object enters the protection area, the receiver outputs a relay signal through NO, NC and COM terminals, allowing the door controller to stop or reverse the door in time.

The product features a slim aluminum housing, 12m indoor/outdoor detection distance, 23ms fast response speed and IP67 waterproof protection. It is suitable for demanding industrial environments such as warehouses, factories, logistics channels, cold storage rooms and loading areas.

Working Principle

The system includes a transmitter and a receiver installed on both sides of the door opening. The transmitter sends infrared beams to the receiver to form a protected detection area. When a person, vehicle, pallet or other obstacle blocks the beams, the receiver changes the relay output status and sends a safety signal to the door controller.

This helps the door stop, reopen or reverse before contact, improving safety during door closing operations.
